As I was editing this session, I kept thinking about a verse in the Bible:

“For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord,
‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

We don’t always understand why tough things happen, especially to little ones. For this family, their baby girl underwent open heart surgery a few weeks back all before turning 6 months. I cannot imagine what these two as parents and other family members would have felt even towards the Lord, but here she is on the other side and as happy as all can be (well she played tough in a few photos, but eventually we got that big smile out from her). Anyway, I know this a photography blog, but I so want to encourage you that God is good even when life isn’t. He remains faithful, kind, loving, and good even in unfair circumstances. I’m not sure what you’re facing today, but may this sweet girl Elliotte, may her bright smile bring some hope that there is a joy that comes even in in the storm, a hope that reminds steadfast, and a strength to see you through to the other side.
