Hi! I'm Magna, the owner and lead photographer of Magna Arnott Photography or MAP for short, because trust me, we'll be going on an adventure together. I've been in business since 2012, and have years of experience in editorial work, weddings, and specialized portraits. My office is located in the quaint town of Elmvale, Ontario, but I work primarily in Collingwood, Tiny, Blue Mountain, and love to travel (especially to mountains)! I'm passionate about connecting with couples who are deeply in love and have a bit of spunk. I believe every couple has a love story worth sharing and I'd be honoured to help capture yours!

It all began with a 6-megapixel Olympus camera (okay, it was definitely my parents' camera), and a love for life's "candid" moments. I took it everywhere, from our backyard flower garden to trips to our small-town Tim Horton's. I loved capturing people in their element, and having the power to freeze a moment in time through the simple click of a button. Over the years, I began to deeply cherish those images, yes even the silly ones at the coffee shop, and I wanted other's to have that same feeling of joy in reminiscing in their most beloved memories. We all long to have life's grandest moments captured, but if you're anything like me, you love the RAW every day moments too. So regardless of how big or small a moment might be, I promise to capture sweet ol' grandma doing the chicken dance with as much passion as your first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. It's been many years, and many, many camera upgrades since that little Olympus camera, but my heart has always remained the same: capture the authentic. If you're already following me on socials, you likely have seen a million photos of our sweet girl, Winnie. She's a smooth-coat Saint Bernard pup, who bring so much joy and snuggles in our lives.

I'm passionate about weddings that are unique with couples who unashamedly plan a day featuring all their favourite things. Bonus if there's an ice cream station.
I used to dislike my name for the sole fact that I could never find any knick knack with my name on it. You know the ones that your Grandma brings back on a keychain from her vacation in Mexico? Now, I'm so grateful for a more unique name.
I'm a huge foodie. I'd much rather head out to a one-of-it's-kind restaurant than a chain restaurant. I'm also a sucker for anything with goat cheese, balsamic, and bread.
I love running and it's on my to-do list to finish a half marathon (17km is my record so far) and eventually finish a full marathon.
She honestly blew our expectations in every way possible. We were so thankful for her preparedness and support to make sure all the Ts were crossed and Is were dotted. Things we didn't even think of she had covered ! Thanks again Magna for making both experiences memorable and capturing such beautiful memories for us!
