WHAT A YEAR…

2016 has been a full of dreams coming reality, promises coming to fruition, and growth beyond my wildest imagination.

1. bought my dream car
2. went to California / Bethel church
3. met the sweetest man.

If nothing else happened this year (although a lot more totally did), those three things alone would have been enough to completely blow me away. I’m going to brag on the goodness of my Lord, Jesus Christ, and if you’re not a religious person, no worries, keep reading anyway, and enjoy the images from this past year.

Early in the year, I woke up from a very vidid dream, and in short I felt the Lord was asking me what I WANTED…which if you know me, you would know I kept thinking He meant what I NEEDED. I’m blessed in many ways, and I know God takes care of my needs, but I never fully understood the fullness of His goodness. He doesn’t just supply what we need, but He longs to give us the desire of our hearts..that includes some of our ‘wants’. So anyway,  like any loving Father, He gently, but firmly, told me “No, Magna, I’ve got your needs, what do you want”. Thus, began the process of writing out said “wants + dreams”on paper. I  filled the list with things I wanted, nothing too impossible, but there were definitely some things that were very unrealistic: such as buying my dream car at 20, or paying my own way to California to take a course at a school. BUT FRIENDS, I DID BOTH IN THE SAME YEAR…WHAT!!! Those are only two physical THINGS that came to fruition this year, I could write an essay on all the other wonders that have become my reality this past year, but I’ll save that for a sermon someday.

As a business owner, I’m once again blown away by the support, love, and trust of my clients (hey, that’s YOU… or at least it can be in 2017). I’ve truly loved getting to know each of my new clients this year, as well as reconnecting with former clients. You guys are what make being a photographer so great. I enjoy getting to know people’s stories, and then what a privilege it is to be able to document and capture such stories. This coming July marks 5 years of being in business *officially* — what a milestone!!
