In the heart of small town Oro, a beautiful century home is awaiting the arrival of it’s newest and youngest occupant. A sweet baby girl, who has been hoped for, prayed over, and is already dearly loved.
I really enjoyed capturing these two in their beautiful home. Lifestyle sessions are one of my favourites to capture — you know, it really is an honour to be invited into someone’s home and document people in their own environment. These types of sessions create opportunity for clients to feel more relaxed, natural, and candid. I love getting a glimpse into people’s day to day lives, from coffee cups left in the sink to dog prints through the living room (these are just examples, Mitch + Kendra’s home was exceptionally clean although I’m sure they’re adorable hounds LOVE to leave paw prints). It’s the small details that reveal people — the colours of rooms, the little knick knacks, and family heirlooms passed down. One of my favourite moments from Mitch + Kendra’s session, was having a little tour around the house. Seeing the hard work put in and the artistic touches added to make this home, theirs. I loved seeing the nursery that this little baby girl is going to grow up in. I love seeing the excitement and anticipation of a long awaited promise coming to fruition.
