There’s something truly magical about summer evenings in Tiny Beaches, but in particular Awenda Park —the soft golden light filtering through the trees, the sound of waves hitting the shoreline, and that peaceful feeling of being tucked away in nature. It was the perfect setting for Katy & Mark’s engagement session, and wow… these two blew me away.
Would you believe this was their first-ever photo session together? You’d never know it. Katy & Mark were so natural in front of the camera, not because they were “posing perfectly,” but because they just let themselves be. They laughed, they held each other close, and they embraced the comfort of being in a place they already knew and loved. That familiarity with their location made such a difference—it allowed them to relax, tune out everything else, and let their love shine through.
The dreamy light we had that evening only amplified the connection between them. Every glance, every smile, every hand held—it all felt so genuine and effortless. Sessions like this remind me why I adore photographing couples: it’s not about creating something staged, but about capturing the real joy and love that’s already there.
I left Awenda Park that evening even more excited to be the one capturing Katy & Mark’s wedding day. Their love story is just beginning to unfold, and if their engagement session is any indication, their wedding is going to be nothing short of incredible.
