“Though she be but little, she is fierce!”―
sophageal atresia WARRIOR! I along with so many, we’re praying for you little lady, and what an honour it is to not only meet you, but capture some photos of you with your wonderful parents!
Friends, you’ll see some photos of her battle scars from surgery along with her bravery beads from Sick Kids Hospital. Those photos were amongst some of my personal favourites from this newborn session. When Hannah and Taylor asked if they could have a few images showcasing both Henley’s scar and bravery beads, of course I responded YES. I’ve found that we as humans, tend to shy away from our scars, we’d rather cover them up than reveal we’re human and have been through some tough times. Whether those scars be physical, mental, or emotional ones, we all have them. Scars tell a story, but they also showcase a victory. Today’s blog showcases one of Henley’s victories! If you want to tag along on their story follow their story on Instagram with #HenleyStrong!
On another note, can I encourage you that if you know someone fighting through a battle today, send them a message or give them a call. Check in on those around you, and if you’re a person of faith, pray for them. I don’t mean a quick two-second prayer as you’re heading out the door today, but take a few minutes and pray with the faith that moves mountains. You never know what prayer or a thoughtful text could do to encourage someone around you today.
Anyway, enough from me, enjoy this at-home newborn session and enjoy your weekend!
