This wedding is dear to my heart.
This wedding was full of firsts.

I love weddings (which is probably good as I work in the wedding industry ha ha), honestly, I really do love weddings. I love when family comes together and celebrates the union between a man and a woman as they commit their life to one another. This wedding imparticular, wanted family involved in every part of the wedding, and as I’m family it seemed ‘obvious’ that I would be given the honour of photographing the wedding, but that isn’t NEW for me. I’ve photographed other family members’ weddings, but what was a new honour is officiating. That’s right, I co-officated alongside my Pastor (as I don’t have the POWER, legal power that is, to officially marry people). I know what you’re thinking… ‘Magna is a ninja, photographing the wedding AND officiating’. True, I do consider myself a ninja, but in this case an administrative ninja as I coordinated with some fellow photogs (that’s short for photographers, you’re welcome) to capture the ceremony while I led the couple through their vows and the exchange of rings. Also, it was a first for having a ‘team’ photographing without me giving any direction or even a camera in hand.

It was such an honour to capture Steven + Sue’s wedding and so very special leading them through their vows.
